The sams utility reads the specified input file and creates a number of output files. The name sams stands for ``symbols and message strings'', which is what the program manipulates. You can use "whereis" to locate standard binary, manual page and source
directories for the specified programs. This can be particularly handy
when you are trying to find where in the ports tree an application is.
Try "whereis netscape" and "whereis whereis".
